One of the world's leading manufacturers with production facilities and manufactures for the best known and well known global brands. They are now URGENTLY seeking a Director of Supply Chain Management to oversee the group’s warehouse in PRC, inventory management, logistic, supply chain and projects functions.   

Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for formulate overall company supply chain strategies and solutions, warehouse management, develop and implement business plans to achieve optimal materials flow planning and inventory management objectives, which include providing cost effective logistics and warehousing services to internal and external customers. Moreover, design and implement supply chain strategy, operation process and measurement in a vertically integrated multi-industry and plant environment with the goal of synchronizing and aligning logistics strategy.  To coordinate with internal departments on material management master scheduling and finished goods delivery and to establish internal policies and procedures to achieve optimal material planning and inventory control processes in the entire group.  Lead and direct warehouse improvement plans, purchase of equipment, and any expenditure required for increasing warehousing efficiency and space. 

To develop cost saving initiatives through optimizing logistic network, champion continuous process improvements initiatives in the area of international transportation, logistics and warehousing solution.  Act as change agent and provide a platform for new ideas and give presentations to customers on customized supply chain solutions.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in business or related discipline in Supply Chain Management / Logistics and Warehousing an advantage
• Minimum 15 years post qualification experience in supply chain related field of which recent 5 years in Senior Management in supply chain from Manufacturing sector, in (LEAN FLOW) is an advantage
• Solid experience in warehouse operations and management in PRC (large size is an advantage, inventory control and supply chain management
• Experience in production planning, logistics strategy, materials handling and inventory management
• Have proven track record in a similar position with MNC an advantage
• Experience in leveraging IT to accelerate business and process re-engineering
• Experience in Change Management in a MNC and Multi-industry environment
• Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external parties
• A positive,  people person with great passion in their job
• Good presentation and organizational skills
• Strong people management skills
• Willing to initiate and adapt to change in a challenging environment
• Able to deal with people at all levels and willing to travel to China
